Foundation One Long Term Plan (Nursery Age)
At Castleway Nursery School we have a carefully designed EYFS curriculum which meets the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework requirements and prepares the children for the next stage of their education journey. Our curriculum is tailored to meet the needs of our children whilst taking into account their interests and our locality.
Our curriculum encourages a play-based approach and teachers offer the right balance between teacher-directed and child-led learning.
The curriculum follows our school ethos of putting children’s language development at the heart of the curriculum, so each topic is built around stories and includes plenty of communication activities.
For our maths provision we prepare the children with the knowledge and skills they require to access White Rose maths in Reception and throughout their primary education at Castleway Primary.
